quick commerce tipping question

I'm not positive how getting free food works at commerce, but a regular told me that if you play for 4 hours, you get a free meal. Well, I played some 9/18 the other day for 6 hours, and asked the floor for a free meal. He said "no that's not how it works"
So I say "what if I say please?"
"That's a start" he responds
"What can I do? I usually play at Hp?" I ask
"Well. You have to find the floor in your section, but it's ok. I'll sign off for you"
"Thanks", I say.

He stands there awkwardly. Oh hooray!. I give him a $1 chip
"Just so you know, that's an undertip", he bullishly explains

Then I stare at HIM blankly, and it's awkward.
I say "wait what?"
He says "I know you don't know better because you usually play elsewhere. That's ok, just make sure you take care of Karen", he says kinda forcefully, and quickly walks away.

The food came QUICKLY, and tasted great. They cooked my burger to perfect specs, and even gave me ranch for my fries, which were also done perfectly. I was so happy about my order that I found the floor afterwards, and gave him an extra $2
My server got $4

Is this standard for commerce? Should I really have to tip 2 seperate people to get my free food? Also, am I the only one that thinks the floor was out of line for telling me that I undertipped him?
I mean, maybe I did undertip him, but that's by the standard of high stakes players, or losing gamblers who hate money. I'm neither. I wish I were the former. In that case, I'd be happy to tip everyone in sight, but I don't think it's appropriate for me to be pressured by the floor to tip him.

honeslty.....dont worry about what you do at the commerce. Mostly degens, who dont tip at all.
Food is comped on the casino side. Up your game to the 10/20. Eat away.

THERE IS NO 10/20. There's only 9/18, and I THINK 20/40. AFAIK, 15/30 never runs

In my experience, degens tip bigger than winning players.

Things at Commerce go much more smoothly when you grease everyone that does anything at all.

LOL. So you spent $6 for your "free" burger? And you probably got a sneezer.

I think when playing 20/40 and up the food is free, but 9/18 players can get the benefits of free food through the "scratch my back" policy.

Generally I tip 50% of the main course to the server if the food is free. This is also close to the same way I tip at a restaurant if my meal is comped. I dont know if this is "standard" or not, but I have noticed that the staff tend to bend over backwards for me more than they do the Commerce regulars - this is probably the reason why.

food is free on the high side. on the low side if you play 5-10 blind no limit then its free otherwise not. not sure about 9-18 limit.
