He may be able to fold Jx, but is Jx really a big part of his range after raising the flop and making a pot sized bet on that turn? With his action it really looks like he has a hand that he doesn't mind getting the money in with, so I doubt your raise has too much fold equity. He does not raise much preflop so he can easily be showing up here with AJ, a set, Ax of spades, A5, A6, and other hands. I don't think there's nearly enough hands in his range that fold to your shove getting 2:1 to make your play +EV, and your draw is not that strong. I fold to his turn bet here.

I do like taking a stab at this pot on the flop, but my normal line is to bet a little less on the flop in unraised multi-way pots, both with air and with pairs/draws. A half-pot bet here is in my opinion just as good as a pot-sized bet, and it makes it cheaper when you do get raised.

for some reason the only J i can see a nit having here is AJ.

I also don't see a nit betting QJ, or KJ on the turn.

I also dont think that if villain had AJ he would riase the flop. I mean he is .96. To me that screams passivity and his hand is more often a set or 2pair that will not fold to this.

Doing this in an unraised pot seems really strange to me. I mean he could have anything.

Raise PF.

If you think he can lay down Jx, I'd play back on the flop.

at $10 tables, you're better served playing ABC poker then trying to figure who you can push off their hands. Honestly, you can't find a table full of idiots who you can valuebet to death?

If villain was 20/18 then his line might be strange in an unraised pot since he would have raised most of the strong holdings preflop, but he's only raising 7% of his hands, so Axs and two pair hands with an ace are really quite reasonable for him to have here, as is 55 or 66.

If he was more aggressive post-flop re-raising the flop might be a good play to get the most equity out of our draw, but I think it's probably marginal here. It might still be better than calling though. The problem is I think the range of top pair holdings that he raises with is limited to those where you have to discount a king as an out, at least slightly. Add to this the times he has the nut flush draw, and the times when you are drawing only to your flush outs and it seems like a bad spot to play for stacks against this villain. I'd be more inclined to play this fast if I had ATs. It's a close spot though, the flop decision is tough. Having called the flop though, I think the turn is a pretty clear fold.

I dont get this. Why would someone with no aggression raise the flop with a J here. Seems like a massive leak to me.

Flop line is good

Just c/f the turn. Ya, he might have Jx, but he's bb in a limped pot so that x might be a 5 or 6. He doesn't seem too concerned about that Ace when he bets pot there which should scare some weakish hands.

Exactly so why are you semi-bluff shoving against him when he has shown uncharacteristic aggression on 2 streets?
