There are different kinds of each thing you see on a label, and they rarely tell you which is which.

For example, complex carbs are much better for you than simple carbs.

The sugar found in fruit is much better for you than high fructose corn syrup.

Fats are one example that they do actually break down, although until recently they didn't list trans fats, but many people just look at total fat and don't differentiate between them.


I believe that this is one of the major problems causing obesity.
