Default Re: Full Buy in Vs Buying In Short

Rolf's book is prob better than this forum for explaining a short stack strategy/reasons behind it.

Full Buy in: you can stack your opponent at any time, and get the most value from your made hands and bluffs deep into the hand - trying to exploit the postflop mistakes of your opponents; more profitable if you're good, more costly if you're bad (ie. you suck)

Short Buy in: you only play preflop ranges and try to exploit overaggressive people putting in money w/ poor preflop holdings - trying to exploit preflop mistakes; less profitable if you're good, less costly if you're bad
