Thanks Iggy. Ocean's 11 claims to have NL at 1-1, 1-2, 2-3, and 5-5 blinds. does anyone know the buy-ins for those games? [/ QUOTE ] Their website is outdated. They have : 1-1 $40 2-2 $120 (I could be wrong on this, people always tell me between $80 and $120) Other than that, I don't know about their higher games. |

Re: best tournament/NL 1/2 games in san diego
Ocean's 11 has changed some of their structures recently.
They regularly spread a 1-1, 2-2, 2-3 and 5-5 NL game. The 1-1 game and the 2-2 game is in the tournament room. The 1-1 has a 40 max the 2-2 game has a 100 max. The 2-2 game is usually a very loose, aggressive game with tons of chips splashed around. Unfortunately, the rake on both of these games is I believe $4. The 2-3 game is 100-300 and is generally tighter and less aggressive than the 2-2. The 5-5 game is now 300-1000 and plays pretty loose. They are also occasionally spreading a 10-10 game (weekends usually) that has a 2000 max. Lots of retirees and military from Camp Pendleton. In my opinion, the 2-3 game is good but is somewhat tougher than the typical SSNL games at the San Diego Indian Casinos |

Re: best tournament/NL 1/2 games in san diego
The 1-1 has a 20 min/ 40 max buy in. 1 dollar jackpot drop any time a flop is spread, 3 dollar drop any time the pot is 6 dollars or more after the flop.
The 2-2 game has 40 min/ 100 max. Same drop. The 2-3 game has 100 / 300. 1 dollar jp, 4 dollar house-drop. I'm not sure what the 5-5 or 10-10 games have, I don't play that big. |

Re: best tournament/NL 1/2 games in san diego
also, to add..
LH Popper18 was spot-on about the nature of the 2/2 versus 2/3 games. The 2/2 game often is simply pure aggression. In addition to the military players (often fearless), the and the regulars who are very comfortable on aggressive tables, there are a few very wealthy people who enjoy splashing/gambling who LOVE the 2/2 game. When they are there- hold on to your hat, you're in for a wild night. |

Re: best tournament/NL 1/2 games in san diego
Pechanga has tourneys running almost everyday, between 20-100 buy in, also have LLNL 1/2, and 2/5. Plus the poker room is right across from the club so you can watch all the drunk chicks come out and stumble down the stairs - that's one of my favorite things to do while taking a break from the tables.

Re: best tournament/NL 1/2 games in san diego
go to Palomar Card Room on El Cajon. the 3/2NL game has the most action any where in the county. Bring A LOT of money.
I play SYCUAN a lot, bad players but the action can get dead. |
