Re: Bostonians.....what to do in Boston?
When you start in Woburn/Anderson (I think this is the only stop in Woburn), you want to be looking at the 'inbound'. When you're in Boston getting back to Woburn, you'll want the 'outbound'.
The times read down leaving from North Station, so if the train leaves North Station at 12:10, it gets to Woburn at 12:35. Also, you can buy commuter rail tickets on the train from the conductor, no need to get them ahead. |

Re: Bostonians.....what to do in Boston?
Does anyone want to go to a Sox game on May 2nd or 3rd?
I called the box office and they have up to 4 tickets together on both nights in Canigliaro's Corner. These tix are $25 a piece, so if anybody wants to go let me know and I will get the tickets together. I will just get the money from whoever when we get to the game. I will probably call to get them later today or first thing in the morning. |

OP, narrow it down for us. What are you looking for? Beer (young crowd, old crowd, hole in the wall?), food, live music, tourism stuff, history, etc etc? Pretty much you can slap a few days togheter with combination of Faneuil Hall, a few freedom trail sites, a museum or two then a few bars at night. DON'T waste time with tourist traps like Cheers or Plymouth Plantation. [/ QUOTE ] I do like the history stuff so I will probably walk parts of Freedom Trail. I also love beer, not that bud light [censored]. I figured I would do a lot of walking around Back Bay and around the Freedom Trail area. From what I gather these two areas will cover everything I am looking for. Thanks for the tips on avoiding tourist traps. I hate flocking around with other tourist. If there are any other money pits I should avoid please let me know. Is there anything south of the Pike I should be interested in? |

i agree the lack of a bread bowl at legal is disheartening. i can't wait to try union's chowder. [/ QUOTE ] Hey Daryn, didn't mean to diss your favorite seafood joint. If you like it, that's really all that matters. My last experience there was for alaskan king crab for the lady friend and myself, and we ran up over $100 without alcohol of any kind. It was mediocre, and the potatoes sucked. My thoughts are that if any place in this town makes you miss your Denver Red Lobster "ultimate feast" for like $20, you're eating at the wrong place.
