Default praying to the variance gods

So after dropping a few buy-ins yesterday when getting money in good, I decided to pray at my variance altar.

I lit a few candles. Sacrificed my favorite copy of HEPFAP. Gave myself a paper cut w/ the A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. And threw a salt shaker at my monitor.

Well, after that, I found out I got my rb of the month a few days early. Score. It must be working.

Then came this hand:

Full Tilt Poker
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $1/$2
6 players
Converter

Stack sizes:
UTG: $105.55
UTG+1: $199.10
keikiwai: $195
Button: $100.10
SB: $365.25
BB: $241.90

Pre-flop: (6 players) keikiwai is CO with
2 folds, <font color="#cc0000">keikiwai raises to $8</font>, <font color="#cc0000">Button raises all-in $100.1</font>, 2 folds, keikiwai calls.

Flop: ($203.2, 1 player + 1 all-in - Main pot: $203.2)

Turn: ($203.2, 1 player + 1 all-in - Main pot: $203.2)

River: ($203.2, 1 player + 1 all-in - Main pot: $203.2)

Results:
Final pot: $203.2

<font color="#">Button showed K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]</font>

OMG WTF AGAIN!!!!!

AND JUST IN CASE THERE ARE ANY FUCKTARDS THAT QUESTION MY GOING ALL IN W/ ATo (NOT TO MENTION THE MAD CRAZY SKILLZ OF FLOPPING THAT STR8T):

pokenum -h ah td - ks 2s
Holdem Hi: 1712304 enumerated boards
cards win %win lose %lose tie %tie EV

Ks 2s 658081 38.43 1046339 61.11 7884 0.46 0.387

After this, I promptly stop, take my shoes off, turn my socks inside out, door-bell ditch two of my neighbors.

Then come the advantages of table selecting like a mad man:

You won half as much today as I lost yesterday; thankfully I rebounded with a huge 2500 hand, $11 day today.

Teach me your variance ritual.

I find that you should give yourself a papercut with your favorite card in the deck, not the ace of spades (unless that is the your favorite card [which makes you a loser]).

I strongly prefer the king of clubs.
