eeling there was a decent chance that I wouldn't be 3-bet given the preflop action, the board and this silly nit image people have of me (thanks The DaveR, you have no idea how many pots this has bought me from 2+2ers!)

Steal more, remember who still folds, remember who now plays defensively, but steal more.

No. He's never folding an overpair.

Never is way too strong. Look how weak he went in this hand.

a big reason why he plays it weak is so he never has to contemplate folding

a blazer! that's what those are called right. i can remember it this way:

flaming = blazer

[/ QUOTE ]

Since when is power-pimp look flaming? You do realize men dressed like Rick and myself every day until the 70's, when t-shirts took over.

Aren't you the guy with 4 kids that drives 1.5 hours to play poker all night long in vintage salvation army?

I guess I should go back and read the hand now that I've posted something completely useless in this multi-page thread, I'm sure there must be gold in there somewhere

Folding would be the furthest thing from my mind even if I put a bit more action in.

"something completely useless"

nevermind im the one who f'ed up here. for some reason i remembered jason as pimp-metro, but seeing him again tonight he was also poindexter, preppy, nerdy, professor poker style. so my bad. sorry guys.

but it should be noted that i confirmed the results of this hand and my read was SPOT ON.

Its not something I would have done at the time, but in hindsight I agree Mike's check the flop/raise line is best.

Since ThirdDan bet the flop, which is what I would have done, I follow Joe Tall's line normally. I'm going to have to rethink these scenarios in the future to include the check in my arsenal.
