NL50 - QJs OOP standard flop play?
Villain is 11.5/2.2/3.2 after 220 hands
Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.25/$0.50 Blinds - 7 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter) SB: $51.45 Hero (BB): $50.00 UTG: $47.00 UTG+1: $53.60 MP: $143.15 CO: $39.60 BTN: $34.75 Preflop: Hero is dealt Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (7 Players) UTG raises to $1.50, 5 folds, Hero calls $1.00 Flop: ($3.25) 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players) Hero bets $3.00, UTG raises to $7.00, Hero raises to $24.25, UTG raises all-in to $45.50, Hero calls $21.25 Turn: ($94.25) A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 Players - 1 All-In) River: ($94.25) 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 Players - 1 All-In) Pot Size: $94.25 ($3 Rake) Is this incredibly standard? How much fold equity do I have with the b3b line? Once such a nitty player raises me, is it obvious he's not going to fold, or does it not matter because I'm ~45% to win? |

Re: NL50 - QJs OOP standard flop play?
A player with those stats is raising UTG pf with AA and KK maybe AKs, or QQ but probably not. I probably fold this preflop since you're playing the flop oop with a player who is going to cbet about 100% of the time and your hand generally needs to see the turn and river if its going to suck out on villains range(why pp's are better drawing hands than sc's).

Re: NL50 - QJs OOP standard flop play?
I actually don't mind the play all the way to the point where he raises you to $7.00 after the flop. I think I call here and c/f to the blank on the river.
You know where you stand and you know he isn't letting go of the hand - and you're drawing to 2nd nuts. Once he pops it after your raise.......see a card or be done with it....don't push here. You'll have better opportunities. |

Yeah, call the minraise. You've got EZ odds on your FD, and a T prolly gets you paid in full anyway. You might have to fold the turn.

Villain is 11.5/2.2/3.2 after 220 hands [/ QUOTE ] I'm dumping this preflop OOP to a UTG raise from this villain, and just calling the small raise on the flop. |

[/ QUOTE ] Since we are pretty sure his range is very narrow (and assuming that he will stack off with an overpair), we have a speculative hand and near 100bb stacks I think this should be a call preflop. Obv dump anything less than than pair or a big draw on the flop to the inevitable c-bet. As played the lack of fold equity may suggest calling the flop and re-evaluate on the turn (again assuming he wont lay down AA here even to an outright shove over his c-bet) |
