Re: two tables left in the million....
eww this shove looks gross in the mill. A lot of people's ranges here don't include pairs under 88

Re: two tables left in the million....
never been deep in the mil and rarely sweat it so don't know how much it effects ranges but any other tourney this is a shove 100% of the time. you having a 25ish bb stack is huge too and a 5bb stack you still have FE and the blinds passing you.

[/ QUOTE ] Shaun i agree with you here. However, deep in million, as well as some other majors and tournaments like the mansion 100k, some freakish circumstances come in to play. |

Re the cEV vs. EV thing: Lots of you guys seem to think that the play for first attitude actually makes trying to accumulate by making -cEV plays correct. This is definitely not true. The structure of a tournament inherently makes preserving your stack have more value. [/ QUOTE ] Do people really think this? Because it is truly idiotic. |

[/ QUOTE ] Yes.. and even people who don't think it explicitly will decide that a call/bet/raise is -cEV and then think "but OMG the payout's top-heavy" and call/bet/raise. |
