Re: 49er\'s to the South Bay?
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] oakland, the 49ers, and i heard them asking the kings owners last night about moving to vegas wtf is wrong with all these california teams? we basically revolted when the patriots were gonna move from foxboro. [/ QUOTE ] Yeah when they were mentioning New Haven I was so angry I could have killed someone. also: LOL at them always showing scenes of Boston during Pats games, like they're trying to trick the rest of the country that doesn't know where Gillette is. [/ QUOTE ] I believe the plan was to move to Hartford. I never understood the outrage. It's only an hour an a half away, and they would still have been called the New England Patriots. I wouldn't have minded in the least. [/ QUOTE ] 1. People don't like change. The main outrage was from people who lived close to Foxboro. I doubt Maine folk cared much. 2. Connecticut is the least "New England" state of the six. It's half NY. 3. The "it's only an hour and a half" argument is a big deal to most new englanders. And for people north of foxboro, it'd be more. 4. Connecticut sucks. Hartford is a butthole. |

Re: 49er\'s to the South Bay?
that about cuts the distance between my house and them in half. sweet! also, im tired of hyper-liberals arguing that we shouldnt build stadiums for sports clubs in the bay area because "the players make so much and we shouldnt have to pay for a new stadium". when pac bell park has absolutely resurrected a part of downtown SF and brought in tons of money to local businesses. people who have no understanding of economics and make economic arguments are fun. welcome to california.
