isn't shoving much better than calling?

[/ QUOTE ]

what the hell is going to call a 200bb shove that we are beating? Folding is better than shoving imo - but I still think its +EV to call. BTN is known to be 3-betting a wide range, and I think we have be thrilled to stack off w/ the fish in the BB here.

I dunno though - maybe folding is better. That just seems so painful.

yes, but if you call $800, you're going to fold for $1200 more? because i think AK shoves if button has it.

[/ QUOTE ]

Given the action, I'd be pretty shocked for BTN to shove AK here actually. Wouldn't you fold AK if you were in BTN's shoes w/ the action ahead of you?

Edit - BTN's not calling a shove for 200bbs w/ JJ, and probably not AK either.

All of a sudden folding seems like by and away the best option

I would fold. The times we get it in with a slight edge for 80bb vs. the donks range aren't going to make up for the times we end up forced to put 200bb in drawing to two outs. That's assuming we even have an edge against the donks range.

But, if you're only calling AA and KK to a shove, then doesn't shoving AK becomes +EV?

definitely a tough spot though.

No because our range for cold calling the donks push pre is QQ+, AK, with QQ and AK heavily discounted.

There is nothing wrong w/ folding here. I just think there is value in calling the donk's push, with the HIGH likelihood that BTN (as a wide 3-bettor) is going to fold.

I don't know though - everyone seems to disagree! heh.

Since when are we committing 200bb stacks preflop with QQ 3 way action?

I'd let button flip with BB and wait for a better spot.

I might fold here more often than not. Snap push with KK.
