Re: First Hand Donkness

FWIW, I do the exact same thing with the made hand pretty often. [/ QUOTE ] If Villian has seen you do this with a made straight then I can understand the play. If not, I think this is spewage. |

dave, if you want to try this move, a C/R is like 100 times better also, can you buy in for 200BB on absolute? [/ QUOTE ] Yes on the 200BB buy in. |

Re: First Hand Donkness
guys,
I don't think you can class this as spewage, just b/c we got a ton of outs when behind, and it would take balls: <------------this big--------------> for villain to call off 200BB with 1 pair. That said, there are DEF more optimal ways of playing the hand |

I agree c/r would have been better to get the fold. Not sure how I like c/c and taking the passive line. I think I'd rather c/f. Plus I'm sure it did wonders for my image. Re: First Hand Donkness
i usually semi-bluff check-raise this draw or fold depending on the bet size and # of callers of the people behind me

how did it end? [/ QUOTE ] Villain called with a set of 5's and river was a 7. I got the obligatory berating and as much action as I could handle. |
