Pocket Jacks in Monte Carlo
Here is another intersting hand from Monte Carlo. The same tight
aggressive table, blinds 100 200, you are comfortable with a stack of 14,000. You have played very few hands and have a tight image. UTG folds, and you raise to 800 with JJ in UTG+1. Folds to the button who calls. Button is a young scandanavian who took first place in the EPT Dortmund and has been playing very very tight poker for the past 5 hours. SB folds and BB raises to 3000. BB is a familiar looking English pro. Don't know his name but he was joking around with Dave "devilfish" Ulliot who was sitting at the next table and I think he is part of that crowd. He came to the table an hour late and has played tight aggressive poker. I'm sure he is capable of making moves, but the 4 or 5 times he has showed down a hand, he showed a very strong hand everytime. Both players have you covered. Given that context, and the deep stacks. Do you: 1. Fold? 2. Call 2200? 3. Reraise....possibly allin? If you choose to call, then what's the plan? Jonathan |
