Re: Things you can say to tilt people
I'm ready for a new variation on 'i'm counting your chips' for the next time i hit the wynn: (only to be used if someone's berating goes beyond one snide comment)
glare intently and look through your chips, pick your head up looking confused and say: "sorry, just trying to figure out which of these used to be yours" |

Re: Things you can say to tilt people
I've always been a fan of:
"Sorry, I've only been playing for about two weeks, can you teach me what I did wrong?" Great thing about this is that they will probably give you loads of information that you can then use later on. If you then want to tilt them, after every pot that you win, turn to them and say: "did I play that one okay?" |

Re: Things you can say to tilt people
On stars if someone has a picture of a dog I ask "is that a dog or one of those big mexican rats you hear about?"
irritates them and every other dog lover |

Re: Things you can say to tilt people
When they complain about pot odds, I usually just say something like "either it's 50/50, you win or you lose."

Re: Things you can say to tilt people
When my 78s beats grumpy guy's slowplayed KK in huge pot:
Him: grumbling about beat/my play/called all the way etc.. Me: "I had you all the way" Him: "What do you mean?!?! I had pocket kings!!!" Me: (looking honestly confused) "but my hand was suited, your's wasn't even suited" Him: Not only tilts for the rest of the session, but seems to be on a low level of angry perma-tilt every time I have seen him since. |

Re: Things you can say to tilt people
(Can only be used after a thin suckout saves you against a big pocket pair or obvious top pair) To the typical ABC-poker tighty old guy who never bluffs: "I thought you were bluffin'," as you rake the pot. Drives them crazy, and they often protest: " I never bluff." To which you must respond: "I know. But I thought you were that hand."

[/ QUOTE ] A simple "I was ahead the whole time" is usually enough here. Don't defend the statement when they flip out. Just keep saying it. The more obvious the suckout the better. That said, I often don't want my opponents on tilt. I usually spew to tilting players, so I stay quiet about 95 percent of the time. The happier the players, the longer they play, in my experience. |
