.5/1 77 on ATx Flop Bet the Turn or River?
PokerStars 0.50/1.00 Hold'em (9 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)
Preflop: Hero is UTG with 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. MP3 posts a blind of $0.50. CO posts a blind of $0.50. Hero raises, 4 folds, CO (poster) calls, 3 folds. Flop: (6.50 SB) A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players) Hero bets, CO calls. Turn: (4.25 BB) A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players) Hero checks, CO checks. River: (4.25 BB) 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players) Hero checks? Final Pot: 4.25 BB CO's first hand at the table. If CO bet the turn I would have called planning to C/C any river. Does anybody bet the turn or once that gets checked through the river? |

I would B/F the turn - Tens might fold
and C/C river - a turn call means that villain is either on a draw or looking to SD. Missed draws won't call, but a hand like 34[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]s or 45[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]s may take a stab at the pot. My guess is that Tens don't always bet either. |

Raising pf probably makes sense with all this posting going on.
I'd bet/fold the turn and then bet/fold the river. Villain could be a call down any pp type or a call any flop type. I wouldn't assume I'm behind until he tells me so. |

PFR is great. Flop bet is standard. Bet the turn, his range is still almost any 2 and that's the best turn card outside of a 7. As played, I think I c/c though b/f is close.

I wouldn't raise UTG with 77. As played, I think I would fire the second bullet on the turn (and fold to a raise). Just checking screams that you don't have the ace, and encourages villain to take shots at you.
As played on the river, I'd bet/fold here, too. Villain's not showing any strength, so your 7s could still be good. |

I wouldn't raise UTG with 77. [/ QUOTE ] With no posters it ranges from marginally incorrect to a good play. With two posters it's mandatory if you have any fold equity at all, and ok even if you don't. |

Re: .5/1 77 on ATx Flop Bet the Turn or River?
I usually don't raise 77 UTG. If you get called in 2 places it's not really good for our hand. I'd rather have 3+ villains or just 1.
I would probably bet the turn again. As played, I would check/call the river. If he has a busted FD, there is no value in a river bet. |
