I was just really pissed because the SOB slow rolled me at the end, delaying for an unreasonable time before putting his cards down one on top of the other with only one A showing. The dealer then had to spread them out to reveal the other A.

i like the thinking and perhaps there is a better use of a play like this in another situation

but for just $2 villain would likely have called despite odds--in NL its called being "pot committed" with a 2 outer villain has a 4% or 5% chance at about a $100 pot, so he has an overlay although its a longshot, but when he was down to his last $2 the villain is likely not rational anyway, even if his bet was -ev.

Yeah I was still steaming when I wrote the OP. Oh well, if some think me a moron I suppose I'll use it to my benefit if/when sitting at the same table.
I rarely speak at the table during a hand but, looking back on it, I suppose after the flop action I could have said something like "If you have aces or kings you're drawing to two outs," but again, with him out of money it wouldn't have mattered. Just wanted to know if anyone's tried something like this when villain isn't all-in or close enough to it not to give a crap...

Well it was a pivotal hand in my session, as I'd battled back from -80 to +140. Taking the pot down without further struggle would have put me in great position to walk away a big winner for the day... and of course with all the PF action I knew he had a big pair. But there's no way he was gonna fold, and I know that. Just beating myself up and searching for something I could have done differently I suppose.

This is the wrong way to think about things. You don't want to think in terms of pots won or winning sessions booked.

You want to think in terms of bets won, or money won. And with that flop, your hand, and his hand, you own 91 cents of every one of his dollars that goes in the pot.
