Default Can i get more with this hand?

This is the way i always play that type of hand. I always donk the flop because i want action on the flop and i want to get something from the limper if possible. With a C/R, i'm pretty sure i would get nothing. But with a small flush, i check/raise to make a hand like 9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] fold if i called preflop with 5 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] but here, since they need the K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] to hurt me, i want action but without losing clients and i want a smaller flush draw to chase of course.

here the hand.

Ultimate Bet 2/4 Hold'em (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 8, Q.
UTG calls, 1 fold</font>, CO raises</font>, 2 folds</font>, Hero calls, UTG calls.

Flop: (6.50 SB) T, A, J (3 players)</font>
Hero bets</font>, UTG folds, CO calls.

Turn: (4.25 BB) 9 (2 players)</font>
Hero bets</font>, CO raises</font>, Hero 3-bets</font>, CO folds.

Final Pot: 8.25 BB

Of course i hope he had the K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] after the turn.

I think everything is fine but just wonder. Of course, i also donk the flod with draws, set, two pairs and i also check-raise a lot, trying to mixe it about 50-50. But i always beleived that with 3 color on the board, people chase more with draw so i always bet that kind of monster here.

As long as you donk the flop with non-nut hands i think this is fine. I wouldn't worry too much how to play your straight flushes .

I like the way you played it, especially if villain would be unable to get away from any flush hand.

the straight flush has nothing to do with the rest of the hand. I would play a set on a dry board exactly the same way. I was just thinking if there is another way to have our monster paid even more. Here i know that with a 4 flush on the board, it is hard to get paid if he doesn't have the Kd but i can't think that just calling the turn raise to try the check-raise on the river is a good play.

My point (hidden in the joke) was that I don't think you are not going to get any more bets playing differently. In fact I would rather raise the turn for the times he does have the K of diamonds, where you will get a lot of action. He would likely either not bet river or not call a river check raise if he folded the turn.

Sets and two pairs might play similarly. 3-bet that monster with only one opponent. A few more opponents and you might think about getting tricky. Otherwise bet that Bitch.
