...I also really like the Raconteurs(anything Jack White and bluesy rock)...

You will definitely like The Black Keys then. Two-piece blues-rock group like The White Stripes. I'd suggest their first album (the big come up), or Rubber Factory. The last album is rad as well, but it's a slight (very slight) departure from their style.

Also, you've probably heard of The Strokes, but they are so good they deserve a mention anyway.

EDIT: That dude masquerading as a chick beat me to it.

If someone asked me "give me an indie rock album from the last couple years" I would tell them to go get wolf parade's "Apologies to the Queen Mary." If they liked that I could give them more suggestions, but that'd be the album i'd start them with.

Singer songwriter from brooklyn named Kevin Devine. He used to front a band called Miracle of 86 which had some minor indie success. The guy is young, tours constantly and puts out new albums all the time.
A couple good first songs to listen to are called No Time Flat or Cotton Crush - spend 8 minutes and listen to them and youll be hooked. He has a myspace page with some songs up, not sure if either of these are up there but they might be.

Except for Coldplay, this stuff isn't very good ESPECIALLY Hinder. New Bloc Party comes out next week, the Decemberists new album is awesome, The Format "Dog Problems" was one of my favorite albums of last year. Just a start there.

"Coldplay, Hinder, 3 Doors Down, Switchfoot"

Maybe he should have titled the thread, "Help increase my 'quality' music collection!"

Ooooh burn

Or not. Anyway, I'm not a fan of the first three, but Switchfoot is well produced stuff.

I don't know who Hinder is but the second these 3 bands entered my thread I instantly became sad.
