Does this get called more than just shoving the turn? I considered this but ended up deciding it just gives him a free shot at 2 outs when he has some pocket pair...but I don't know

Yes, I think a c/raise on the turn looks much stronger to some players then you just pausing and putting the rest in on the river.

If it's vs a relatively unknown player i like c/c flop c/rai turn but vs a good player who is more well known I c/f turn. Although that's a somewhat contradictory statement considering most good players don't just "pot" the flop and turn. I am most likely not folding here and getting it in on the turn.
