Re: River value bet?
I'm really suprised by the responses. I always thought I was a pretty aggressive value bettor, but this seems like an easy check to me.
Given the action, I highly doubt he has a King, there are like 0 two pair combos, and there really aren't any spadeless 9x hands that should be peeling this flop. I guess A5 is a possibility. If the river was an A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], I'm definitely value betting, but thats really the only spade I'd be willing to bet |

he usually has you beat when he calls that flop [/ QUOTE ] with an unknown at .5/1 (or even 5/10) I really doubt that is true I think the 3rd spade on the turn means we should be betting to get value from any unpaired spade hand. also we have a redraw vs better pairs now. I will check this with stove when I get home river is an easy VB for reasons people have already mentioned |

Re: River value bet?
Plenty of Kx and pp's in his range.
The fact that he didnt donk indicates he doesnt have a spade |

The fact that he didnt donk indicates he doesnt have a spade [/ QUOTE ] I agree...This is the one thing thats throwing me off, but I've never played in these games so I don't know what the norm is for these guys. It really wouldn't suprise me to see a .5/1 donk go for the river c/r in this spot w/ a big [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] |
