River value bet?

I don't have anything on this guy, which makes pre-flop questionable. But, once I get to this river it seems highly likely I have the best hand. I'm not sure if there is value betting against an unknown here though.

I think you can bet/fold here against an unknown.

Instabet and laugh when they call with A9

i don't like the turn bet that much. without the fd it would be fine, you can just b/f. but with the fd you lose lot of ev when he raises, regardless of whether you call his raise or fold. he usually has you beat when he calls that flop so betting for value and protection loses importance.

as played, it's a value bet on the river imo. he usually doesn't have a flush and will often pay off.

I am with rzk

check turn call a river bet. Bet river as played and get called by Kx and 9x and even worse. You will get donked by good spades a lot so when he checks you have a valuebet

I bet and expect to see two red 8's A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], often enough.

I'm really suprised by the responses. I always thought I was a pretty aggressive value bettor, but this seems like an easy check to me.

Given the action, I highly doubt he has a King, there are like 0 two pair combos, and there really aren't any spadeless 9x hands that should be peeling this flop. I guess A5 is a possibility.

If the river was an A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], I'm definitely value betting, but thats really the only spade I'd be willing to bet

with an unknown at .5/1 (or even 5/10) I really doubt that is true

I think the 3rd spade on the turn means we should be betting to get value from any unpaired spade hand. also we have a redraw vs better pairs now. I will check this with stove when I get home

river is an easy VB for reasons people have already mentioned

Plenty of Kx and pp's in his range.

The fact that he didnt donk indicates he doesnt have a spade
