Default $2.20 sattelite to Sunday 100k fold AKs preflop?

I haven't played in many of these but have heard several people mention they are a good way to make T$ so I thought I would play a few.

~50 people remain with 29 places paying out
average stack is around 5k

I figured the average stack at payout will be 8500. Is this a spot where we are folding to the money or to early?

IMO, RAISE!!!!!!!!!

To like 1600, steal blinds. no reason to play a big pot with a lot of post flop play. Take the 1400 thats on the table and move on. I'm not sure if you're suggesting you fold or what but I would raise hard.

These are a great way to make T$, but I think you should put in a substantial raise. I would look for a fold if you get pushed back at though. I would pop it to about 1400-1700.

definitely too early to try to fold into the $, and your stack is not big enough yet.

With the size of the blinds, you'll be in trouble if you start folding premium hands like this here.

avg stack at payout is ~6k or something. blinds will be around 600-1200. 8k is a nice stack at this point.

raise/folding AKs is the worst option and makes me nauseous.

i would push up to ~14bbs i think... but any more than that, i would just call.

I don't think that 6K can be the average stack at the bubble. There are 50 left and the average stack right now is 5K. 29 seats means 21 more have to go before the seats. I'm pretty sure the average stack at the bubble has to be more like 8.6K.

I'd be awfully tempted to shove here, but if you figure you can get some FE in a better spot, you are probably better off waiting for that. You only need about 1 more BB to be in pretty good shape.

Sherman

Edit: I'd just shove it in here and fold in after this pot.

I read the subject line and thought, absolutely not.

Now I've read the thread and I think, absolutely not.

Push preflop. As played, push flop.

Calling is also doable. But I think you need a few more chips to make this a fold.

1400 in the pot, I'd just shove pre. Hopefully the blinds don't wake up to any hands. As played, I'd shove the flop too.

Shove pre, pick up the pot and take your lottery ticket. Are these actually a worthwhile way of building a roll, even though you only win 11 dollars?

Have to take the dissenting view....

The average stack is not important, It is your position relative to the bubble position (29). I'd bet with your stack your around 14 maybe higher.

1. 15 people have to pass you before you are the bubble boy.
2. There are 3 low stacks at your table. Even if they double up, they WILL NOT be ahead of you.
3. One of the big stacks is in the hand already. In these sat's the big stack can be real pricks. If you wiff how are you going to proceed?????
4. ~7900 is enough fold your way in.
5. Remember the Sat's are about survival, survival, survival. Do NOT play drawing hands when you have a big stack. With your stack and position I have folded KK.
6. Remember 1st gets 11.00 and 29 get 11.00

Important: These Sat's ARE/NOT an easy way to make 11.00

FOLD PRE FLOP
