Default I get a little carried away with a squeeze

I haven't been too out of line but am more aggro than the rest of the table. Playing about 22/17. CO isn't very spewy, doesn't read hands well, playing 40/15 over 100 hands.

No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $3/$6
6 players
Converter

CO: $1794
BU: $1164
SB(Hero): $1191

Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is SB with 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
2 folds, CO raises to $18, Button calls, Hero raises to $83, BB folds, CO calls, Button folds.

Flop: 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($190, 2 players)
Hero bets $130, CO calls.

Turn: 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($450, 2 players)
Hero checks, CO bets $155, Hero raises to $485,

Your raises are roughly 3.5-4x bet and in good relation to the size of the pot. His initial raise was 3x the BB, typical standard play...but only 2x the pot. I'd like to see his range though, he could be playing Ax, 22, JJ-AA. I smell small pair that turned trips, or he's playing the straight draw.

Even if he has you beat with a set or a straight atm you have excellent odds to win (assuming all your cards are live). Based on how you described him, if he's on any kind of a draw he should fold.

That being said, you've risked $701 on this hand so far. If he pushes, can you get away from it if you think you are beat?

i don't understand the point of 3betting preflop with a hand like this vs a player like that.

I would just c/c the turn.

My reasoning was that he is opening a wide range from the cutoff, button has nothing and picking up the $40 in the pot is huge. I probably could have 3b bigger though since we are so deep.

yeah but he is so bad and he's gonna force you to make hands, so why not at least do this with hands that flop decent pairs?

I can see an argument for c/c but I'm not sure it's best. Being a poor hand reader I don't see him hero calling with 88 or whatever. If I c/c I am drawing to 9 unclean outs. With a raise he essentially has to fold his entire range except 77 and maybe sets.

Alright 95% is wrong.

I'm not sure what it is about my posting style that people often get the impression that I think my viewpoint is correct and I am uninterested in other opinions. What I am trying to do is give the best explaination as to why I did what I did and (usually) why I think it is right. Once I have laid that out I think it makes it easier for others to dissect what I have said and tell me where I am wrong or they disagree.
