I thought this movie was really great. Whitaker's performance was intense.

I really think people complaining about the plot and the lack of focus on Amin aren't giving the movie enough credit. I thought the plot was very clever and dealt with interesting themes regarding European involvement and race relations in Africa. There were some small problems with the plot, however I still found it very entertaining.

Overall, I thought it was an excellent movie.

they said this in the movie so in a way it's obvious but in a way they said it tongue and cheek but it's true and seirous. the scot kid, amin said "you are like all white men you come here to play a game, to have our women... but we are real, and it will be real when you die" "you should die but you're not going to" (just like happens in history, white people should be something bad happens in return but nothing does)
