So we stroll on down to valuetown and then we get checkraised.

Who is calling?

[ QUOTE ]
He is capable of basically all kinds of randomness and bad play as his numbers would predict.

I would be pretty shy about betting the river if I planned to fold to a C/R against this guy. Lots of guys with those stats, when I have a better feel for their post-flop play, I'll bet and fold to a C/R; and as Victor hints, I'll feel a little sick to my stomach calling a C/R here -- I think it's -EV but with nothing more than stats, it's a call I'll make more often than I should.

Here is a common situation. The villian is very LAG playing 50/23/2 or so. He is capable of basically all kinds of randomness and bad play as his numbers would predict. I am seated immediately to his immediate left.

No one seems to think he might be clinging to a 5 or low pockets.

If so, the only shot at winning the hand is to bet the river.

So it seems pretty unanimous that this guy is very unlikely to have a pair. So we stroll on down to valuetown and then we get checkraised.

I'm calling fast. So many missed draws available.
