Re: Tough Spot in FTP 40k
the way that hand is being played out, it really seems like you are committed with a tighter range of TT+, AK with a spade by the turn, and he is just flatcalling. I would be wary, just on account of the fact that his exact range of bluffs, weighted, is narrow (single high spade and very rarely turning red 88 into a bluff), and stack sizes are just about right for his range to include numerous boat/flush hands by the river (ie lolz i have 44 let him hang himself with KxKs I hope he hits a spade!!) that would not have jammed the turn for fear of folding out red jacks, etc.
so, i would thepokerdb the guy, and if he is down tens of thousands :P i might call out of spite, but I think 95+% of the time I am folding. |

Re: Tough Spot in FTP 40k
meanwhile, i'm thinking what calls our UTG raise in that position, calls twice on a massively drawy board and then pots the double baby river?
the way this hand played out, I think you've got the best hand a significant percentage of the time. If you're behind, it's almost exclusively to the nut flush. |

Re: Tough Spot in FTP 40k
I called, he showed 56o (wtf!?!?!), and won. My reason for calling was that you habe to figure a set, 2 pair, or flush was raising earlier in the hand. Even if he had a flush, why is he potting it on the river w/ 2 pair on baord (even if it is unlikely I have a 5 or 4, it's hard to believe u could get action from an overpair w/ 2 pr on board). I think his most likely holding here is usually a big spade that missed, but then again, I somehow didn't include the almight 56o in his range

Re: Tough Spot in FTP 40k
I'm the master of faulty logic. However, I said that was in the event he had a flush and not a full house, which is obv a cinche hand.
