Default AJ 50nl flop Jxx donk bet into

Villain is 22/11/2, haven't seen him go wild like this yet, he'd pot control some pots with top pair.. etc.

Usually I'm not a raise for info kind of guy, but when I raise this and he comes over top.. I've represented AJ or an overpair, and he doesn't seem to care. there are 0 draws on the board. Pretty much a set most of the time right?

As played, looks fine you are on a super dry board, and this looks like a classic set vs overpair hand here. Aggression factor of 2 means that he doesn't really get out of line with bluffs here either, so easy fold

Is there really any reason to raise his flop bet? The board is pretty dry.

I think your raise is too big. I may call here occasionally too. Easy fold to 3bet

So I call the flop.. he bets $8 on the turn, what then? Fold having shown no agression other than preflop?

I usually call flop, this is WA/WB. Also raise turn to $12 instead of $17

I can feel where prodonk is coming from. Without raising here you show weakness, and a good opponent can really lay the pressure on to make it very hard for you to call by the river, especially when a K or Q peels off. Also there are other players in the hand who may call along, further increasing pot size. I think that is reasoning which justifies a raise here.

Yea, I like the raise too.. It just seems a little too big.

I'll parrot what everyone else has said. As played, good fold. I would call that flop bet, you may get plenty of relatively safe action against a QJ or KJ kind of hand, while being able to fold to a large bet on turn or riva.

I raise this flop about 70% and call the rest of the time. Like others have said raise should probably be a little smaller
