I haven't had time to play much lately, so I'm feeling very rusty. 3rd hand of the SNG, so no reads on PF raiser. I have seen UTG limper, decent but nothing spectacular. Does anybody raise PF? Who smooth calls bet on flop, and who calls the all in? |

Re: 109: QQ on 3rd hand
I'd probably fold. His PF raise is supspiciously high. Calling on the flop is okay too. Lots of scare cards, but that might be a good thing if you can get to a showdown without putting too much of your stack in.

Re: 109: QQ on 3rd hand
i think i like a call here (to the all in)... the way he played it it feels like he has 88-JJ more than KK/AA. i would push the flop because you should still expect to get called by 88+ and the board is pretty draw heavy with the straights and overcards you have to fear.

Re: 109: QQ on 3rd hand
i would call. flop bet seems like a feeler bet. would think he woulda bet much more if he had AA KK because of the way the board is. could very well be 88 or 99.

Re: 109: QQ on 3rd hand
Without a read can you deduce anything about what the PF raise size means from the "average" $109er?
At the $6.50s and $11s it means "scared to get callers" much more often than it means "building a pot w/a monster." |

Re: 109: QQ on 3rd hand
i think his pf raise is standard with 1 limper already. he could have AA or KK possibly but it would have been a bad flop bet on his part if so. what did he have this hand?

Re: 109: QQ on 3rd hand
Thanks for the responses. The way that he played the hand tells me that he really loves his hand. Whether that's because he has AA or 88, I don't know, since I don't have a read on the guy. He just showed too much strength for me to call here w/ QQ. He bet PF from second position, led flop, and came over the top of my raise. I don't think calling is bad, but I thought folding was the better play.
Any other higher buy-in guys have an opinion here? |
