The Taj and Borg has long lists Friday because it is the busiest day of the year. Generally, it doesn't happen with the big new Borgata room.

Taj should have 1-5, 5/10, 10/20, an 20/40 stud high. The Borgata now has few games in those ranges but most of the bigger games. Harrahs usually has several tables of 1-5 and nothing else. Tropicana usually has some low to mid limit tables in peak hours.

The Taj generally has a 15/30/45 Stud8/Omaha8 game and often also a 10/20/30, 3/6, and 50/100. Borgata usually has a 10/20 Stud8/Omaha8 table and sometimes has a limit table with that and usually has other high limit mixed games. Tropicana sometimes has a 10/20/30 or something Stud8 game on weekends.

I'm not sure if I've mentioned this before, but the Taj is a dump.

The Taj is really cleaning up its act. New carpeting, new televisions, new chips, and lots of other ongoing renovations. They also fixed the warped card problem that you have commented on. Competition is a good thing.

They didn't have competition before the Borgata opened?

Not really - they were pretty much a monopoly for anything above 5-10 and were far and away the biggest.

I noticed this too, I hadn't been there since August 05'.
I have to say it was a huge improvement from how it used to look.

So, is Borgata and Taj the best places to find a profitable Stud/8 game these days?

Does anyone know what the 3/6 O.E. game at the Taj plays like? I'm looking to play it, but I have little experience with Stud 8/b, read a bit, played a little, just trying to improve and work on the basics. I think my Omaha 8/b is pretty solid for this level. Also, how much experience/skill would be necessary to be +EV in the Borgata 10/20 O.E.?

If you know how to read an O/8 board and hand then you will probably be able to beat the Borgata 10/20 O/8 rotational games in your sleep.

I sat in that game for a bit a few weeks ago while waiting on my holdem game. One lady OVERCALLED on the river with no low hand against a board of all undercards. The rest of the table was equally retarded.
