Default folding a set? lol

PartyPoker $400 NL Hold'em (5 handed) HandRecorder v0.9b

Stacks & Stats
BU (16/12/19.00/26) (204h)
MP (33/6/3.00/20) (391h)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
MP raises to $8, 1 folds, BU calls $8, SB calls $6, Hero calls $4.

Flop: ($32) 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (4 players)
SB checks, Hero checks, MP bets $231.36 (all-in), BU raises to $462.72, SB folds, Hero calls $418.7 (all-in)

I never thought I'd open a topic like this, but even if he does have 85s, 53s here I still have bad equity.
MP is obviously not a good player but I still don't think Bu calls w/ a hand like 99 on this board.

Board: 8s 5c 3h
Dead:

equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 23.497% 23.50% 00.00% 1861 0.00 { 3d3s }
Hand 1: 76.503% 76.50% 00.00% 6059 0.00 { 88, 55, 85s, 53s }

If you're ever going to fold a set this is definitely the place to do it.

I agree that folding here is idiotic. People post these hands all the time with 22 thru 66. If you can't get money in with these sets, simply fold preflop. What better board were you looking for here? Are you looking to flop top set with 33? Might be awhile.

Do you really think Button slams the pot to isolate with 88 or 55 here?

It's funny on internet forums because people advocate getting 6000 BB's in on the flop with AK when they flop TPTK, no matter what the board is, even though they have a one pair holding. Then, they want to muck sets on boards like this. Makes no sense.

Your range is pretty silly if it only includes hands that cool you and 85/53s. Seems tailored to reflect the fact that you got cooled here. Button never has an overpair or 76s here?

MP (who isn't a complete maniac) minraises then shoves the flop for seven times the pot on a rainbow board with low cards and no straight possible. Button, a nit, shoves over the top of this massive overbet for over 100bb's despite it being plausible that the two players who checked before MP's bet could have a flopped set or two pair given how it was barely more than a limped pot.
With bottom set I think we're crushed here. I'd call middle set, though.
