Some are posting in BBV4L, giving updates and the emails they've been getting from admins. It's disgusting that there was a shooting at 715am and the school wasn't closed then. 2 hours later, more shootings. Classes don't become cancelled until after 10am. That's disgusting and ridiculous.

I don't know enough about the situation to blame the administration, and I'm not sure how much that would have helped anyway. If people hadn't been at the engineering building, who's to say what would have happened next?

It's a sad situation, and worth learning from to handle better in the future, but I don't think that scapegoats and bearers of blame need to be found just yet.

Got to agree here. This will replace far too many news stories that might require actual thinking and investigation. It will be dirt cheap to put on the air because it will only require talking heads, and every spokesmodel anchor will get to pile up points for humanizing the story by asking the parents of dead people how they feel and pretending to particularly care. This is going to be yet another obscene, ghoulish feast for the newsmen, this time on the corpses of those kids.

Sure, it's newsworthy, but that's not necessarily how news is done these days and how it will be covered. And profitably prolonged.
