My phone works right outside their front door. So does everybody else's. The links I provided are for solutions to this very same, exact (and apparently fairly common) situation.

Here is a picture of Gila's Wild Horse Pass casino:

It is low down (patrons have to walk down a fairly long ramp to get in from the valet drop-off) and covered with what looks like a thick surface of whatever that adobe looking stuff is. I think it's the construction that is blocking the cell service. If it was a more 'normal' building the cell service would work. I figure that as long as they're doing a remodeling anyway they might look into it. And, at the very least, they could have some expert come in and see if there is anything to be done. I've been going to Gila off and on since they opened and cell service complaints from customers have been going on the entire time. That's ~8 years or so. I'd suppose that if there had been gaps in the coverage of EVERY SINGLE CARRIER EXCEPT ALLTELL that at least SOME of them would've been extended by now. But none of them work and I can't see how it's not the casino's fault.

I played at Gila River - Vee Quiva (Laveen) when I was down there in March and all I will say is that was the smokiest casino I have ever been in. The casino and poker room where decent but in the future I will stick with Casino Arizona for my poker and breathing needs in AZ.

TOTALLY not related to poker, but an ObGyn story...

I wander out to the airport about 7am to snag a plane I have reserved. An ObGyn who's part of my flying club is there huffing. As I get out of the car he recognizes me and practically yells at me "You're NOT the AirCenter guy!" "Sorry, no."

He then goes on to tell me that he has an emergency and has to get up to this podunk hospital about 30 miles away. Further, he's been trying to get someone from the company to come open up the office doors so he can schedule and get a plane to get there. "I've been trying to get in so I can get a plane since 5:30 this morning!"

Ummmm... That town is 40 minutes away by car, sir. Even if everything went perfectly at the airport you coulda been there by driving before you would even have been able to get a plane outta the hanger and get it pre-flighted. If you'd driven you woulda been there 45 minutes ago, instead you're still at least 40 minutes away. And you say this is an emergency?

He basically hates being a physician after having done it for 25 years and is trying to find ways to make it more interesting by incorporating flying into it. But he's so caught up in flying he's letting it impact patients.
