since most of the stuff here is criticism, though they deserve it, i'll be optimistic for once: smackdown is really damn good TV. they have good, long for TV matches, the storylines are alright, and JBL is your God.

very good Benoit/Chavo match last week.

I keep hearing about how good Smackdown has been, but I seriously haven't even half-way watched an episode in prob 2 years. I saw a five minute segment a few weeks ago where Mr. Kennedy beat the crap out of the Undertaker with a mic in the middle of the ring. Although that was a very good segment, that is prob the most I have seen of the show all year.

I may have to give it a chance,

Les

I would agree that SD has been pretty solid in recent months.

Kennedy is a star in the making.
Good matches (in particular :London/Kendrick, Regal, Benoit)
JBL is shockingly good on the mike.

IMO, I honestly believe one of the reason's SD has been so good is because Vince/WWE doesn't really seem to give a damn about it, thus doesn't interfer much/do stupid things with it.

They also have an actual former wrestler booking the show (Micheal Hayes) instead of some Hollywood guy.

Les, if you can, download last weeks show and check it out sometime.

It has been good lately. Although they apparently fired the guy who writes the show.

I also have an inkling that JBL is good on the mic, but it's hard to tell since Michael Cole is so mind-numbingly terrible. He singlehandily makes the product unwatchable imo.

You should like JBL's constant ripping on Cole then.

I downloaded it and watched it just now (although I was playing some cash games while it was on). I thought it was a good show. It looks like it might be the best wrestling show on free TV right now. If TNA had 2 hrs and could devote some time to actual wrestling, I think they would be better than Smackdown, but I was honestly impressed.

I like London/Kendrick although I have yet to see a single match of their's in the WWE except this 6 man match. Benoit vs. Chavo was very good. I liked the UT vs. Kennedy Main Event, and thought the finish was very well booked. You guys are right, btw, it will obviously be Batista vs. Undertaker at WM.

I enjoyed the show. Thanks for the recommendation!

Les

These Cryme Time guys no reaction at all. Are they supposed to be face or heel? I can't tell.
Also, when/how did Haas & Benjamin reunite?
