I'm pretty sure I could tell my SO what I did in my day in 5 minutes. I can't stand these pointless phone conversations either. I was madly in love with my last gf, she lived 8 hours from me, and I still could only talk once every 2 or 3 days with her.

Sweet raptor jesus my roomate and his gf are the worst at this. I'd say they talk on the phone at least 4 hours a day, and it's in about 25 phone calls during the day. This isn't even counting the 40 text messages a day, and AIM video chat. I swear to god he can't even use the bathroom without asking his gf if it's ok to do so.

I'm with the OP that I can't stand talking to a gf for very long each day. I don't have a gf right now so it's not an issue, but I just have no idea how some people put up with this?
