Honestly, blaming the media for the coverage is pretty silly, considering how the public just eats this [censored] up.

[/ QUOTE ]

Yep, I was more or less thinking the same thing. Here we are and we can't stop talking about it.

[/ QUOTE ]

Nobody's suggesting the media shouldn't cover this right now.

It's that Rita Cosby and her ilk are going to be prattling about it for the next 5 months when there's not really going to be much more to say than "this is a really terrible thing".

I really don't want to see the videos and hear the cell phone calls. Is there any way for me to avoid this?

Turn off your television.

and yeah, the whole thing is sick, but it is also equally sick to think of all the people in the media with huge raging hardons that this has taken place. they are so happy and thrive off death and destruction.

[/ QUOTE ]

Got to agree here. This will replace far too many news stories that might require actual thinking and investigation. It will be dirt cheap to put on the air because it will only require talking heads, and every spokesmodel anchor will get to pile up points for humanizing the story by asking the parents of dead people how they feel and pretending to particularly care. This is going to be yet another obscene, ghoulish feast for the newsmen, this time on the corpses of those kids.

Sure, it's newsworthy, but that's not necessarily how news is done these days and how it will be covered. And profitably prolonged.

Brittney is going to have to start flashing a lot of pubic to get back on the air again. Well, she already did that, so I guess the last step is anal. Prepare to see celebrity buttholes in the latest attempt to commandeer America's attention span.

There probably like 5000 people killed driving their car today, but all you will hear from the media from the next ten years is "Oh my god, how did this happen and isnt it so sad". God, I hate the media.

[/ QUOTE ]

If you really believe this, then you have no heart. How can you not see the difference?

I really do not get how you have avoided being banned. I don't think any five regular posters combined have:

1) Started worse threads. I really don't get this one, you have more awful, awful OPs and locked OPs than any regular poster.

2) You consistently show a lack of any intelligence, logic, compassion, or pretty much any humanity.

If it was an Asian shooter I assume

1. An Oriental who had failing grades

2. Southeast Asian/Arab who killed for religious reasons.

Diversity breeds crime.

The reason he hasn't been banned is that certain idiot mods think he's providing some deep insight. Plus, there's a mob mentality, so if some "well-respected" poster says that he is a genius the rest of the minions fall right into line.
