It must be the way they steam their tortilla shell with the slice of jack cheese that everyone likes it.

this is definitely the clincher for me.

wing it is the joint on Comm Ave in Packards Corner. Pretty awesome, but they mess up a lot and has a reputation for being pretty dirty, but it's been a few years since I've been.

Wing It also lets you bring in beer, which is almost required with hot wings.

We used to hit up the packy next door every time we went.

OP, narrow it down for us. What are you looking for? Beer (young crowd, old crowd, hole in the wall?), food, live music, tourism stuff, history, etc etc?

Pretty much you can slap a few days togheter with combination of Faneuil Hall, a few freedom trail sites, a museum or two then a few bars at night. DON'T waste time with tourist traps like Cheers or Plymouth Plantation.

A) Plymouth Plantation is in Plymouth, a good hour+ south of Boston.
B) Has anyone ever been there NOT on a school field trip?

I just mentioned it because I know a lot of people take buses and stuff to see the plantation and the rock from Boston. Yes, my school definitely took me there.

No Wing-it in amherst. Daryn is discussing Wing's, part of the Wingsover franchise, started in Amherst.

so is Spike's in Allston any good? I always see that place but keep on moving to Sunset Bar and Grill which has a great beer selection and phenomenal nachos.

Spikes is another place I find a tad overrated; I used to go in Providence from time to time when I lived in SE MA. I always felt I'd rather go grab a bunch of cheap coney island hot dogs in fall river. That being said, it is pretty good. A little pricey, but the dogs are big and the buns are awesome.

Thanks for all the ideas. I will definitely check out the science museum since I'm a chemist. I do have a few other questions.

I have read that it is best not to drive in Bosotn if you can avoid it. Will staying in Woburn require me to drive or does the Public Transit connect in Woburn?

If I do have to drive any advice on parking somewhere and then using Public Transit?

What type of price are we talking for the Sox tickets. Here are the games they are playing during my trip? No big rivals so hopefully it won't be too hard.
Tues and Wed they play Oakland @ 7:05
Thur is Seattle @ 7:05

How long does it take to leave the game and get back to Woburn? Using either my rental, buses, subway etc.

Again thanks, I do have a per diem for food and I plan on spending every bit of it so keep the restaurant suggestions coming. I will do a trip report on all the restaurants to give a Southerner's view on cooking. By the way I am from Memphis, TN so the seafood will be high on my list to try.
