Ok, let me amend. Hero admitted atypical play designed to win a bunch on the river from another bluff. There are just a bunch of cards you don't want to see that villain will push on.

I know that winning players do not make plays whose sole purpose is to avoid a tough decision. But that's not what a raise on the turn here is about. Pushing the turn gets you a very sizable pot - avoiding the tough decision is just a happy side effect.

Mixing up your play is fine preflop and on the flop (if you would normally play this hand more aggressively)....But if you call preflop and on the flop, you HAVE to push this turn (as others have said).....

The difference between TT and QQ with regards to raising all in on the turn in this situation is very, very big.

PF and Flop look alright, insofar as this is an atypical line, but I think I would push the turn.

On the river, it looks like he puts you on a hand that will call that bet, so you should probably fold.

What worse hand calls a push here, what better hand folds?

I would definitely call the river.

Calling the river looks good, it certainly doesn't seem like he has an Ace. A more likely holding however seems like JJ-KK as played.

so what did he have? sorry for the bump, but im curious. from what ive seen, AceHiStation could have a lot here, seems pretty aggro player to me

or maybe its just those hands v. wtfsvi where he got stacked like 3 times have biased my opinion

[/ QUOTE ] I think it was only two I kinda regret posting his handle like that though. It's not very good etiquette.

Not pulling the trigger on the turn was a big mistake. Even if you know how this player thinks and plays, there is now a two-flush on the board, and being an under the gun player he could very well be playing AA, KK, AKs, or AQs. letting him see the river on the cheap puts a minimum of 15 "scare cards" out. One of 4 aces, 4 kings, and the seven remaining clubs. Reraise the turn to define your hand and position. If you have the best of it then your putting more money in the pot. If you are behind he will most likely reraise letting you get away from it.
