That was the daughter of a well known Los Angeles tournament grinder Kevin "The Snake" Blakey. She in her own right is a very good NL poker player.

Amir and her relationship is (hopefully) more along the lines of niece and uncle.

that time he played at mash that bmw is talking about he was being a huge donkey in the 500 game (i didn't play) and then he won a bunch of money playing 3 card poker. And yeah, i wouldn't touch his wife under any circumstances, sh'es beat. But they're both nice ppl i thought. She actually either busted me out of the 300 tourney or crippled me, don't remember.

haha I remember that - he left with like $2500 after an hour beating up on one of the locals; Otto, who is like the only guy with lower starting hand requirements than Vahedi. First hand he's dealt in he opens to 8x BB after 3 limpers w/ 35ss and stacks Otto's A9o on an 9 5 3 flop, good times.

The bolded part made me laugh.

I was still in the tourney when he did this, and never heard about it from Otto. I knew he was irritated with $200 cap when we got there so I figured he'd be slingin chips like crazy
