Re: OFFICIAL How Much Can You Bench Thread
[ QUOTE ]
I have no idea but I'll see if I'm up for it tomorrow. I'll be happy if I can bench my bodyweight 168, 5'9. [/ QUOTE ] Warmed up a little with a 20lb bar. warmup with 90lb. 1 of 130. 1 of 150. failed first 160 because my spotter threw me off. 1 of 160 failed 170, didn't try anymore. So 160 is my pr for now |

I think "keeping score" (total weight, total reps, fastest times, etc) is useful in that it helps folks choose their goals as well as progress towards them. The competition aspect can also inspire. edit: There are sites that helps folks estimate their one rep max based on an N-rep max. I gather they don't necessarily work very well for certain body types, and they presumably become less accurate as N increases. http://strengthnspeed.tripod.com/Pow...Calculator.htm |

Raise your hand if you can't bench your body weight? Come on, anybody else? [/ QUOTE ] I can't. I just started and I am WEAK. I weigh 200lb's and would be lucky to bench 2 plates+bar. |
