1984 - <font color="white"> The twist comes very early. Winston spends a few pages thinking about how much he hates Julia (even though he has never met her). She looks at him while walking down a hall and drops a piece of paper. He is sure that it is a warning that she is turning him in to the Thought Police. Instead, it says "I Love You".
Either that or when O'Brien tells Winston that Goldstein's book is a fabrication and that he wrote it himself. There is no resistance and, in fact, there is absolutely no hope.</font> |
