If you're a SuperNova, the "rakeback" you're getting in these low limit games is HUGE (.5/1 and 1/2 is what I have experience with). To the point where it is very close to a zero-sum game. In such a game, Ill take a flop percentage of 20% anyday.

This is correct.

If you are getting up towards those 200k, 300k or 400k milestones and factor those in too you are talking a pretty high percentage.

This is aside from the fact that not all 1/2, or even 5/10, limit grinders are exactly the cream-of-the-crop of the limit poker-world.

[/ QUOTE ]

I agree the rakeback at some of these games are so incredible that I think is the reason why so many people are still playing these games and this is the reason the games are so tight lately.

At 1-2 fixed limit full ring I am getting over 130% rakeback, I have made over 20k in the past few months 12 tabling that for a few hours per day.

There are at least still a few bad players at 1-2. But even at 1-2 youll find at least 6 good to great limit holdem players who chose to play this low because they can still make 10-20k a month playing here and it takes away alot of variance for them instead of just playing 1 table of 15-30 or something of that sort.

So basically the point of this thread being the only reason that these players play at pokerstars is the rakeback program.

Which is kind of funny considering how, against rakeback pokerstars is.

Also for all you people who think I cannot beat the game anymore you are completely wrong. I am still beating the game, but most of my monthly profit doesnt come from table winnings.

My 5-10 numbers are around .21 bb per 100. But that is over 200k hands. So I have accumulated a ton of points

My 10-20 numbers are way better, but thats because the 10-20 game gets frequent fish who enter. I beat the 10-20 for 1.12 bb per 100. Over 80k hands

And at 1-2 I beat that for 3.64 bb per 100. For over 50k hands.

So I am still beating the game, but i am disspointed at my numbers at 5-10 and since You cant find 12 tables of 10-20 full ring going, I have to resort to other games.

Anyways enough of my ranting.

Oh and microbob. the 11/10 days are long gone.

I think my numbers have dropped to like 9.5/8.8

But thats because everyone else has dropped bigtime, and I am adjusting with the game.

I will only get tigher as the games get tigher and just increase my steal percentage

Getting tighter as games get tighter is wrong, DUCY? Increasing your stealing percentage, however, is correct.

And wow 9.5/8.8

his complaints are based on the fact that there are a number of 12-tablers who are somewhat similar to him in this regard.

Yes, there are 40/2 type players on there.
But quite a few in the 13/3 and 9/8 range as well.

I just played the 1/2 LHE fullring to clear my stacked bonuses. I basically played against the same guys constantly.

Very boring poker but the clearance rate was great.

Doesn't this:

Pretty much say it all?

And how the hell do you get to 200k hands with a winrate of .21? Wouldn't you think of trying another game after 100k hands or so?

Yeah, I've just started playing 1/2 LHE on Stars to great results, then a huge slide. Apparently I'm really loose, which is kind of scary. Still under 30 VPIP, but I've had multiple people comment that there's no way I can be winner at the game when it's that high.

I have +5BB/100 (that is 5 blig bets = 2xBB) 10-tabling for 120K hands of 100 FR NL on Stars with 18% preflop raises. (I mostly play MTTs and have since moved up.) So I am sure these games can be beaten.

I think it would be difficult for anyone to make much of a profit at 2/4 limit holdem FR, but I am sure 5/10 and above limit 6-max is very beatable if you play limit holdem well.

OP is probably one of those nits who used to be able to beat the small stakes limit holdem by just playing tight and can't do that anymore, so he can't make money playing online poker.

[/ QUOTE ]

I'd never played NL FR before..have been learning 6max...but god is FR crazy.
Last day of the promo and was just trying to earn as many FPPs as i could before it ended. I normally 4 table NL6max and I was able to 10/12 table NL50 and NL100 Full...made about $500 bucks and I was reading magazines the whole time.

If playing full wasn't so boring I'd probably switch to it.
