I think steve's line here really looks like a suited connector with 2 hearts. His flat call preflop means suited connector and not too many aces( AK probably re-raises and AJ will can call because of the loose raiser and AQ is calling every time.) His flop and turn bet make sense of a line with 2 hearts. initial raiser checks, and steve fires a bet to see where he is at the once he gets called, he c/c the turn with a flush draw( so it may seem to juanda). so wouldn't juanda bet this river regardless of his cards presumabley because
1) he knows steve can't have AK or a set because he checked the turn with a flush draw out there( although its not impossible) so putting a high amount of pressure will get him to fold a lot of hands he might have since the flush did not come and most Ax type hands here will fold

Given his tight play so far, the turn is a check-fold, because this is a RIO situation. You have reversed implied odds. I don't want to continue that hand against a very, very strong player.

After your check on the turn, you simply have to call. Altough I think there's just a slim chance that he has a busted flushdraw, you showed weakness after your -from his point of view- steal attempt on the flop. So he thinks he can bully you out unless you have a strong ace, trips or two pair.
The problem is that he can have anything before the flop and 88, 33, KJ, 87 of hearts etc. are all possbile holdings.

I don't think that Juanda calls a raise with KJ. So skip that hand. We are in a RIO situation and there's no way we can continue here. And I don't think that our flop bet looks like a steal attempt with Juanda still to act behind us!

How much do you lead the turn with? What do you do when he calls, and then bets to your check on the river? Would that be an easier fold than as played here? Wouldn't two hearts stay in his range in the same way, unless turn lead was rather substantial?
