Re: Canadian Liberal Hypocrites deny Polygamy
"As society creatures, we have no choice but to conduct ourselves in most fitting way for the common good. "
I have no idea what this means. What do you mean by "no choice"? Not big on the whole free will thingy, are we? And who decides what the "common good" is? And what does that have to do with same-sex marriage? |

Re: Canadian Liberal Hypocrites deny Polygamy
"sexual libertarianism is an attack on the family"
Why? "The only logical conclusion is to live rationally and ethically" Why? And even if that conclusion is reached, who decides what is rational and ethical? |

Ok, the usual way the religions treat those questions, then. "I decide, and if you don't agree with what i decide, I will kill you." Can't say I'm surprised.

"you mean they where the first to use that principle?"
No, but definitely the most successful. Why do you ask "why" anyway if you do not know of the universal principles of ethics based on reason? |

Re: Canadian Liberal Hypocrites deny Polygamy
Natural Law and the 4th to 10th Biblical commandments are a good place to start. For more information, take a Classical Ethics class at a University near you, or read a book on the subject.

Re: Canadian Liberal Hypocrites deny Polygamy
I have taken som ethics. But are you claiming that those are universal principles? Universal in what way? It's not like they are universally recoqnized, at least.
And how do they relate to the OP? |
