Re: Tell me about your cutting phase
I think that most people who aren't pro athletes take this stuff to an extreme that doesn't need to happen. If you're trying to cut.
My simple answer is to always eat protein (meat) with any meal that you're eating, and don't eat any sort of BS food like bread. Try and keep your carbs to veggies that are at least semi low carb although I guess it can't be terrible to eat corn every now and then or something. Don't ever eat until you're full, just eat until you're no longer hungry. I don't cut fruit out completely but I do try and limit it to early in the day but this might just be bs as far as I know. I don't see how you couldn't become cut following these rules. |

Re: Tell me about your cutting phase
Limiting fruit intake is dumb. Unless some guy is eating 4 bananas a day, he's never going to be eating too much fruit.

[/ QUOTE ] I agree pretty much, unless someone starts excluding the protein factor whenever they're eating. It can become a problem if your diet starts to involve to many meals that are just fruit without a good protein. Also, we're talking about cutting here, not a normal sustainable diet. I think fruits should be a lot lower on the list of foods to eat during cutting then they should during anything else. |

[ QUOTE ] Yes. Yes. Yes. Your diet sounds like diabetes. And if your "salad" includes mostly iceberg lettuce and has dressing, then it sucks also. [/ QUOTE ] LOL, ok, I will say goodbye to those snack items. My salad is generally a good variety: tomatoes, celery, chick peas, olives, various peppers, broccoli, cucumbers, sometimes a hard-boiled egg, various other veggies and the occasional meat. I almost always have balsamic vinaigrette (please don't tell me that I need to avoid all dressing). [/ QUOTE ] salsa is a good dressing replacement. |

Re: Tell me about your cutting phase
I personally don't think cutting phases are efficient for the recreational lifter. Unless you're doing BB competitions, I feel its more beneficial to find a comfortable weight with around 10% BF and try to maintain. If you're actually cutting, you're going past any maintainable standard and you're just going to bounce back. If you want to lose weight, add a little cardio, take out a couple hundred calories. That's just my opinion, based off of the responses I get from my body.
