No one's description ever fits with Williams College.

He said fewer than 15,000 students, not more than 35,000 students.

If you're already in Texas, are you opposed to Rice? That seems like a good fit if you don't mind being in the same state. I would also check out Washington University in St. Louis and Emory.

I had some interns and volunteers from Williams at my old job and took some kids to several community events there. Seems like a very nice place and I hear nothing but good things about it. However it is EXPENSIVE so I wouldn't go there unless you are really in love with it. The same can be said for most of the northeastern, high-ranked, expensive liberal arts schools (Haverford, Swarthmore, Bard, Hampshire, etc)

Williams students are trying for something, even the worst of them.

Did you go to Williams dude? It would make sense.

I can't really offer any concrete advice in this thread as I went to Simon's Rock College (population: 375).

NT - were you at Simon's Rock when that Vietnamese kid lost his [censored] and started shooting a semi-automatic off a bridge (he was also wearing a "Sick of It All" t-shirt).

I'm at Washington University in St. Louis..ranked 11th in the nation...while the ranking might be inflated it is a really, really good school.
