Dealers are not robots, the cashiers basically are.

Re: tipping cashiers in AC poker rooms
I don't know if it matters to anyone else, but a lot of dealers tip the cashiers from their tips when they cash out also. It's not very much of course, but it adds up. Depending on the shift I usually give them $2 or so. Maybe $3 on a very good day, only $1 if it's a short shift or a forced early out or something.
They're not living on tokes like dealers are, but they certainly don't make very much. Not toking them isn't really a big deal IMO, but then I tip gas station attendants too which a lot of people don't. Addressing the OP: In any case, if the Borgata cashiers aren't thanking you for the $1 you're giving them, well [censored] them. There's not a profession on earth that shouldn't say thank you when you tip/toke them, excepting street mimes (and I better get a god damn wave from them). The Borgata cashiers always said thanks to me IIRC, maybe you had a bad run or something. |

Yep. Or you're in for 4K, go to the cashier with 2K and they say, "Oh..you did very good tonight."

Same thing when they "remind" someone after a big pot. I'm too embarrassed to do it, even when I know the player is a good tipper who just forgot. |
