Ross Perot said that back in 92 and everyone called him crazy.

The press is right wing and sabotages democrats.... now I've heard it all.

They treat all the kennedys as if they are royalty, they are doing their best to make Jimmy Carter look like he matters, with no mention of how crappy America was during his presidency.

Time magazine has had covers with titles like "the gingrich that stole christmas" and "is rush limbaugh good for America".... when I see a Time cover that says "Is air america good for America" or "Pelosi supports unions, except for the people who work in her family business" maybe I will see this anti-dem media you seem to see.

The media may be right of you...but they are definitly not right leaning.

So why do we never see dead GI's? Dead Iraqi women? Dead Iraqi children? Wouldn't this 'left wing' press just love to rub this administrations nose in this war they all critically reported from day 1.

[/ QUOTE ]

Ummm... I believe I've seen'em. The New York Times has done major stories on each of those along with our *mistreatment* of enemy combatants at Gitmo. They'd rather discuss our treatment of Gitmo *vacationeers* then the beheading of innocent people by the terrorists. We treat our caprives far better than they do. Where are those pics and stories?

The corporate press is going to sabotage the Dems every step of the way -- just as they have done for thirty years running.

Corporate "Press"??? As in newspaper "press"??? I've seen a lot of Right Wing info, but not from our Nations so-called newspaper "journalist". You talkin' WSJ type of press or which? Good Morning America? NBC/ABC/CBS news stations? I'll concede Fox to ya...

He didn't actually call the press right wing, he called it pro-corporation. Not the same thing, and he's correct in this. The source of his delusion is believing that the Democratic Party is less pro-corporation than the media when they are actually more. The media is liberal biased, but it's also pro-corporation biased, which is why many anti-corporation type liberals completely fail to see the liberal bias in the media, because to them being pro-corporation is anti-liberal to the point that things like supporting abortion and gay rights and opposing the death penalty, etc, seem irrelevant.

In other words, the media is liberal capitalists and all the liberal socialists see any capitalist as being anti-liberal fascists. The media is pretty close to in step with the Democratic Party line, but many Democratic supporters think the Democratic Party line is much more socialist than it really is.

[/ QUOTE ]

I guess I didn't split the hairs that fine. Still can't get over the "Press" sabotage the Dem's...

Maybe you've heard of Daniel Pearl, the Blackwater employees in Fallujah, Jessica Lynch, the three soldiers who were captured when their convoy was ambushed a couple months ago, the daily Iraq body count, etc. The pics from those ran on the front page of every paper in the country.

I would certaibly rather be in American hands at Gitmo, then a captive in the terrorists hands. Perhaps *vacationeer* was an adjective to the absurd, but still conveys the difference 'tween the two. I seriously doubt, Islam Radicals offer Bibles and Sunday morning church services to their captives as we give Korans and prayer mats/three squares a day, amid their interrogatons. Red Cross and UN visitors aren't allowed in their back rooms, as they are allowed within Gitmo, are they?

I find dissecting the press, which is still pro-left, to the degree where you can say definitively, that is is 'sabotaging' the Democrats is absurd unto itself.

Both sides can cherry pick certain nation wide news media events to argue their side. But overall, the news/press/media slants the Left. Hence the media and academia wanderings.

Which is why I initially posted, why is the Congress approval rating where it's at?

Wild guess: Questioning US military actions too much is deemed "unpatriotic" and loses ad money for the networks from "patriots".
