There is nothing to do but bow down to this game's ineffable greatness.

also, i played a lot of tecmo online back in the day. I led my Bills to the Super Bowl in the inaugural season of the Online Tecmo Football League (OTFL), and in typical Bills fashion lost to the Packers.

I definitely scored 99+ as a kid with the Bills. Nose tackle slide FTW.

Anyone want to play via the TSB rules?

I gotta run to the bank right now and prob stop and get some food but I should be back before 5 p.m. CT, I just gotta download Nesticle and get it set up.

Let me know in the thread or PM me and we can exchange AIM or something. Maybe a BBV TSB league will ensue.

Once beat the Jets 112-0, and I'm pretty sure it displayed correctly. This was on the SNES version, though. Play as the Eagles, call the same pass play every time, if nobody's open run for 20+ yards. Never used the "nose tackle slide", but I did have around 12 sacks with Clyde Simmons in that game.

I'm pretty busy today, but later this/next week I will want to play this. Maybe I will make a post/site to start a league for the 2+2 guys on herelater, if enough people show interest.

This one is better, I just scored 43 points without gaining any offensive yardage.

I was attempting the "Tecmo Defensive Challenge". You can return kicks, but you can't call an offensive play, you must immediately punt or attempt a field goal. You can also score on defense or kick returns.

The key is getting an early safety, which should put you in field goal range after a short return on the free kick. Then on the ensuing kickoff, you should be able to pin them deep and have a chance for another safety.

It's actually not quite as hard as it sounds if you use the nose tackle trick extensively(the Packers have the fastest NT in the game) and get a little bit of luck.

Yes, I know, I have wasted far too much of my life on this game...
