Re: Why keep your wallet in your back pocket?
Right Front - WALLET
Left Front - Keys, Cell phone x 2 ....the only time my wallet goes in my back pocket is if Im out at a bar or clubbing and I wont be sitting, and I keep all my money in the front....so I dont look like a douche opening my wallet for drinks.... STORY: A seldom seen posted (Mr Purple) who is a friend of mine, keeps his wallet in his back pocket, and he recently had his wallet stolen and lost $1200 while at the Venetian |

Re: Why keep your wallet in your back pocket?
[ QUOTE ]
It's too annoying to sit or walk with a wallet in the front pocket. It rests right where my leg bends causing great discomfort when doing anything other than standing stil. [/ QUOTE ] Sounds like maybe you could benefit from a looser cut of pants or possibly the next size up. |

Re: Why keep your wallet in your back pocket?
OP,
While I'm plenty obsessive/compulsive, it's not to the point where I care which front pocket my wallet is in, so I opted not to vote. But I did make the move to the front, between pickpockets and it falling out. A bunch of years ago I was in Mexico (Puerto Penasco aka Rocky Point) and chillin like a villain on penicillin at Manny's Beach Club. At the time cashish was the preferred method of payment, and a friend wanted me to buy him some duty-free stuff at the border, so I had like $600 on me. As I left Manny's I patted myself down (was wearing a leather jacket) and realized my wallet was missing. I did an about-face back into Manny's and found the ENTIRE staff - waitresses, busboys, managers, etc. - crowded around my chair. At that point I realized, with a chill, that my fat wallet had fallen onto the sand some time ago and they were all waiting to pounce. Naturally, their English got really dicey, nobody knew what I was saying, and I had to cancel all my credit cards from another country. Since then I carry it up front and also keep a slimmer cash on the outside style, not a Costanza special that weighs like 5 lbs. |

Optimal Setup
Wallet----> front pocket on the side you are *not* primary-handed (you will always "feel" it there so you won't lose it by accident, plus it is harder to pickpocket)
Keys, and small high-quality knife----> on side you *are* primary-handed (in case you have to get into your car quickly, or need to defend yourself from a dog or human) Cell phone----> zipped jacket pocket Chapstick, hand sanitizer, kleenex, that kind of stuff----> other jacket pocket A few small bills for tips, taxi or cheap eats----> back pocket For the guys saying that a front wallet interferes with their dick: get looser more comfortable pants--also try wearing your dick on the other side from the wallet, it will get used to it after a while and then that will be the side that feels natural |

Re: Why keep your wallet in your back pocket?
other: I wear an empty jockstrap and keep it in there, everyone thinks I have a huge package and no one can ever see me with an erection so it works perfectly, and it's even better when you wear shorts without pockets.

Re: Why keep your wallet in your back pocket?
Wallet in back pocket leads to back problems.
Reminds me yet of another Seinfeld episode when George could not close his wallet |
